Baby Boy

You might expect that three days after his third birthday that I brag all about how big my son is getting. After all, his baby years are much more distant than his school-age years are near.

But I'd rather savor the remaining moments that show me he is still my baby boy.

Snuggling on the couch in his favorite t-shirt.

Cuddling Boy Baby because Girl Baby is for girls, thankyouverymuch.

Holding tightly to Hoot and Doggie, his beloved loveys that he's had since birth.

Soothing himself sweetly with a pacifier, an addiction we are struggling to break.

Keeping Moosey close, his dearest friend and companion.

Nestled in warmth under his blue butter-soft baby blanket.

Though three, he still melts my heart just as he did the first time I nestled him on my chest.

Henry Duran Hooper, you are a perfect gift from above. I love you with all of my heart. And no matter if you are three days, three years, or three decades old, you will always be my baby boy.

  1. what a sweet post. Love you Henry and I hope mommy will bring you to see us soon or we can come there. xoxo

  2. He looks so safe and warm and comfy and loved.
