Gone are the days . . .

. . . of going to Oma & Opa's house to watch the choo-choo train.

In the month of December, my boy spent countless hours watching the train at Oma & Opa's house. He asked me daily to go see it. The train's been down for over a week, yet just yesterday Henry asked me if he could go see it. I reminded him that the train has been put away until next year. He looked at me and said, "Christmas is over, mommy?"

Yes, baby, Christmas is over.

But the memories are fresh, and I can't wait to sort through them and relive the magic of Christmas. It was a wonderful season.

  1. We'll be happy to set the tree and train up for him. All he has to do is ask.
