Playing School

Every Tuesday morning, we have two of the neighbor girls over for a pseudo-homeschool preschool that I am doing with Henry. It's quite informal, and we simply work on the basics - letters, colors, numbers, etc.

We're only together for 1 1/2 hours, but the time FLIES by as we quickly jump from one lesson to the next, often breaking for stretching, playing, singing, and snacking. Henry LOVES it. I don't know what he loves more, playing school or hosting the girls. Usually Harper is napping, but occasionally she has played along as we learn together.

It's been such a treat working with these three darling sponges. I simply wish I could bottle up their excitement for learning and return it to them in ten years.

  1. I love doing my school with Parker, even if it's super simple!

  2. I love that you're doing this, Ali. And I think that if you keep up the enthusiasm, you won't have to bottle up their excitement--it'll just be there still.
