May Day

I don't know about you, but this is how I celebrated May Day (if you even want to call it a celebration):

A few highlights:
  • Thousands of people (most of whom ran a heck of a lot faster than I did)
  • Delightful Columbus skyline (I love this city)
  • Thirteen-plus miles (Arena District! Short North! German Village! OSU!)
  • Supportive family (thanks MoMo, Matt, & Harper for cheering me on; and thanks Mom & Dad for watching Henry)
  • A baby girl in blue (who was constantly mistaken for a boy)
  • Refreshing rain (thank you, God, for the glorious rain)
  • One determined momma (thanks to three hours of reciting Philippians 4:13 over and over and over again)
  • Survival :)
Next year, are you in?

  12. I just hope you know how much of an inspiration you are to me. Dusted off the old running shoes tonight and took Avery for a jog. Literally almost cried in the middle of my run about how good it was to be doing something for ME that I could share with Avery ( she LOVED her stroll!). So thankful you ran this 1/2'er. Because as great as it was for you personally, it was even better for all of us who get to be your friend and be inspired by you. Love ya, Lo
