Oh, how I love him.
For the last two years, we've spent Trick-or-Treat in my Mom and Dad's driveway, passing out candy and drinking beers with the neighbors. It's so midwest-suburbia. I love it.
As I look at these pictures, I am filled with memories from the last twelve months. My parents' neighbors have been through a lot in a year, and I am so grateful that they have each other to lean on.
Pregnancy. Miscarriage. More pregnancy. Babies. Job loss. Separation. More babies.
It's been quite a year.
And I know God is at work. And I cannot wait to see what He's up to.

In case you were wondering, that pumpkin is not carved. It's duct-taped. My dad {rolls eyes} . . . he's got a few hillbilly tendencies. And we love him for it.
How fun! Next year I think you should eat candy and pass out beer.
ReplyDeleteLOVE the duct tape pumpkin.
See you tonight! (without my children!)
